The problem seems to derive from GLIBC_2.29 not being available. It does work with this version of Firefox on other platforms. I am not clear if this was after a VDH update or a Linux update. Recently (sometime after 15th June 2021) it stopped working. Until now there has been nothing as good, it captured virtually everything and converted it into formats I find useful. I have Firefox 89.0.2 (64-bit) on Linux Mint 19, Cinnamon 64bit. If it does your good to go, try downloading and converting a video.I have been using Video Download Helper (current version 7.6.0) and its companion, VdhCoApp (current version 1.6.3) for some time to download videos from YouTube and other sites for various purposes. For example mine was something like this: /Users/ME/Desktop/ffmpeg-0.5/libavformat once thats typed in the red lettering should turn to black. I opened up Spotlight (top right-hand corner of mac) and typed in what was mentioned above "which ffmpeg" the top file it highlighted said "utils.c-libavformat" put your mouse over it and it should show a little screen that tells you the Path. Now I tried downloading a video from youtube just so I could get the downloader helper preferences up to the screen where it asks for the path of the converter (ffmpeg). Then double click the folder called libavcodec, if it doesn't do anything in Terminal then thats ok. Download the file that was posted, open the folder and double click on the configure icon, once it does its thing go back to the folder screen scroll down and open the folder called ffpresets, this should do something in the terminal program that was opened after clicking the Configure icon.
